Quality System
An overview of the quality references and process controls planned for AUS 32 supply.
Quality is an important part of how EcoSmart +Blue is being planned. The intended approach covers raw material selection, handling discipline, testing, and documentation with reference to the standards applicable to AUS 32 for SCR systems.
In India, AUS 32 is covered by the Diesel Engines - NOx Reduction Agent AUS 32 (Quality Control) Order, 2024 and the related Indian Standard IS 17042 (Part 1). We will update site-specific details as operational and certification milestones are finalized.
Reference standards relevant to AUS 32 quality and use
International standard for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (AUS 32). Covers composition, handling, transportation, and storage requirements to ensure consistent quality worldwide.
Bureau of Indian Standards specification for Aqueous Urea Solution (AUS 32) for SCR systems in India. Maintained in sync with the latest BIS revision.
AUS 32 is used in BS-VI vehicles equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems, where proper fluid quality supports expected system performance.
Water chemistry
AUS 32 is 67.5% deionised water by mass. The purity of that water directly determines the purity of the finished product; any ionic contamination carries straight through to the SCR catalyst.
Our line runs softening, multi-stage pre-treatment, reverse osmosis, and electro-deionisation (EDI) before the blending stage. The staged approach is what lets us meet the deionised-water specification in ISO 22241-1 without relying on chemical dosing to correct downstream.

A simple outline of the checkpoints planned within the quality workflow
Every batch of raw materials is thoroughly inspected and tested before acceptance into the production process.
Continuous monitoring during blending and purification to maintain exact concentration and purity levels.
Comprehensive lab analysis of every batch for urea concentration, biuret, aldehydes, metals, and other critical parameters.
Batch documentation and testing records are intended to support quality verification as the business moves toward full operations.
Tamper-evident seals, proper labelling, and packaging integrity verified before dispatch to customers.
